Chris Appleton shares rare pic of Britney Spears’ new hairstyle

Britney Spears sports a new hairstyle after DUI case; Chris Appleton calls her ‘one of the most genuinely kind and gentle souls’

Britney Spears seems to be on a path to recovery after the drunk-driving case and legal fiasco that followed. Collaborating with a popular celebrity hairstylist and social media influencer, the ‘Toxic’ singer donned a whole new look and hairstyle as she posed along with him in a newly posted selfie.

Britney Spears changes hairstyle in rare update

42-year-old hairstylist Chris Appleton, who’s known for working extensively in the celebrity world, recently posed for a rare selfie with the singer in a new post. On June 1, he shared a sweet and emotional post about meeting the singer and getting the opportunity to style her hair, calling it a dream come true.He posted their selfie on his account and further added in the caption that “As a kid growing up in England, Britney Spears was the soundtrack to so many moments. Never in a million years did I think I’d one day be standing behind the chair (or in this case her standing behind mine, lol) styling her hair.”Referring to the ‘Gimme More’ singer, the hairstylist also added that “She is not only an icon, but one of the most genuinely kind and gentle souls I’ve ever met.” He also called this moment in life “coming full circle.”In the photo, in contrast to her usual wavy hair, Spears had straight blonde hair with a middle parting. In the selfie, she held multiple curling irons and other hair-styling tools as she posed beside the hairstylist, sticking out her tongue.

Chris Appleton has expressed that he wanted to style Britney Spears

Time and time again, Appleton has mentioned that he wished to work with Britney Spears a lot. Last year, when a fan commented about how Spears needs a makeover and that Appleton should work with her, the latter could not contain his excitement. In a reply to the comment, he wrote, “I’d so be down to do Britney, but you know what? If I was going to do her hair, it wouldn’t just be like a little touch-up thing. It would have to be like a whole revamp. I feel like she’s been through enough. She deserves some big, major comeback hair.”

About Britney Spears

The pop icon had recently reached headlines after she was taken into custody in California over DUI charges. After a court hearing, the singer officially settled the case earlier this month. She pleaded guilty at the time and was served with a 12-month summary probation sentence, along with USD 571 to be paid as a fine. She was also served with a 1-day jail sentence as well. Following this, she also checked herself into a rehab facility, with her representatives citing that she regrets whatever has happened and that she will be spending time with her family to recover and reflect.
