In a shocking incident from Lucknow’s Shahadatganj area, social media influencer Mansi was found dead under suspicious circumstances, with her body discovered hanging from a noose on Saturday, May 30. Mansi, originally a resident of Kanpur, had tied the knot with Lucknow-based fellow influencer Sagar Rajput on December 9, 2024, in a love marriage. Sagar enjoys a massive digital footprint with over 800,000 followers on Instagram, and Mansi was similarly vibrant and highly active across social media platforms, frequently appearing cheerful in her recent videos. The tragedy shifted into a criminal investigation after Mansi’s grieving family leveled severe allegations against her husband and in-laws. Denying the suicide narrative, her relatives claim that she was brutally murdered over unmet dowry demands, specifically for a car, and her body was subsequently hung to stage a suicide. Relatives revealed that following the passing of Mansi’s father, they were unable to provide a vehicle and had instead given ₹7 lakh in cash to the groom’s side. The family also stated they were kept in the dark about her death until an acquaintance and local police alerted them, only to find the in-laws’ residence completely deserted upon their arrival. Based on the official complaint filed by the victim’s family, the Lucknow police have registered a formal case of dowry death against Sagar Rajput and five of his family members. While investigative teams are currently scouring through forensic evidence and examining the couple’s recent history to uncover the truth behind the sudden escalation, no definitive conclusions have been made.
