Consumers have received another inflation-related setback as the prices of commercial LPG cylinders have been increased in several cities across India. In Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by ₹42, taking the new rate to ₹3,113.50. Similarly, in Kolkata, the price has increased by ₹53.50, bringing the cost of a 19-kg commercial cylinder to ₹3,255.50. The price hike is expected to impact businesses that rely heavily on commercial LPG, including restaurants, hotels, and small enterprises. In addition, the cost of 5-kg free-trade LPG cylinders has also been increased by ₹11. Following the revision, the new price of a 5-kg free-trade LPG cylinder in Delhi stands at ₹821.50. The revised rates have come into effect immediately from today. However, there is some relief for households, as the prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged for now. The latest increase adds to concerns over rising costs and inflationary pressures affecting consumers and businesses alike.
