A high-level political meeting is scheduled today at the Prime Minister’s residence in Delhi at 5:30 PM, where key leaders of the ruling party will discuss crucial electoral strategies. The meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister and is expected to be attended by senior leaders including Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda, Rajnath Singh, and other top officials. The primary agenda of the meeting is to finalize candidates for upcoming elections, particularly focusing on 24 Rajya Sabha seats across 10 states, which are set to go to polls on June 18. States under consideration include Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Mizoram. In addition, discussions will also be held regarding Legislative Council (Vidhan Parishad) elections in Bihar and Maharashtra, where multiple seats are also scheduled for voting. Party leaders are expected to deliberate on caste equations, regional balance, and political strategy before finalizing names.
