‘Karuppu’, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, continues its steady run at the box office as it enters the third week of theatrical release. The fantasy action film has maintained consistent interest across both domestic and international markets.

‘Karuppu’ day 15 shows expected weekday drop

On Day 15, the film collected Rs 3.25 crore net in India from 3,024 shows as per Sacnilk. This represents a 34.3 percent decline compared to the previous day’s Rs 4.95 crore. Even with this dip, the film continues to show stability in overall earnings.The India net collection has now reached Rs 171.40 crore. Meanwhile, the India gross stands at Rs 198.28 crore.

Overseas contribution of ‘Karuppu’ strengthens worldwide total

International markets added Rs 1.75 crore on Day 15. This pushed the overseas gross to Rs 75.75 crore so far. The worldwide gross has reached Rs 274.03 crore. The film now stands close to the Rs 275 crore global milestone.

Occupancy trends for Suriya film

The Tamil 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 26.22 percent. Evening and night shows performed better compared to morning and afternoon slots. The Telugu version registered a lower overall occupancy of 12.23 percent.Tamil Nadu remains the strongest contributor in the state-wise breakdown. It accounts for the majority share of the day’s earnings. Other regions such as Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and the rest of India contributed smaller figures collectively.The film also attracted attention due to legal proceedings. A Public Interest Litigation was filed in the Madras High Court seeking restrictions on the film. It cited concerns regarding its portrayal of a corrupt judiciary.
