Magnus Carlsen avenged his sixth-round defeat at the hands of D Gukesh at last year’s Norway Chess, which led to the viral ‘table slam’ moment, by defeating the reigning world champion in 42 moves in the fourth round of the same event on Thursday while playing as black.
