Samay Raina has confirmed that shooting is underway for ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2, ending weeks of speculation around the return of his comedy talent show. The comedian shared the update on Instagram after fans asked him for a clear answer about the new season. His behind-the-scenes post showed him holding a microphone on set, with Balraj Ghai standing behind him, and other panel members kept hidden to build curiosity.

Hindustan Times reported that Samay first announced he was bringing back his favorite chess tournament “for old times’ sake.” Soon after, fans filled his direct messages with questions about ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2.Samay reacted with humor before sharing a bigger update. He posted a meme from his comedy special ‘Still Alive’ and then shared a picture from the set. Along with the image, he wrote, “Uski bhi shooting chal rahi hai dostoooo (That’s being shot too, friends).”The picture showed Samay on the set with a mic in his hand. Comedian Balraj Ghai stood behind him. The faces of the other panel members were not shown. Hindustan Times noted that comedian Aashish Solanki was only partially visible in the frame.

‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 buzz grows online

The confirmation comes after a leaked picture from the alleged set of ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 went viral earlier this month. The photo showed Alia Bhatt and Sharvari seated on a panel with Balraj Singh Ghai and Aashish Solanki. The image sparked talk that the actors could appear as guests in the new season, but neither the actors nor the makers have confirmed it.The show’s return has drawn attention because ‘India’s Got Latent’ faced major controversy in 2025 after remarks by Ranveer Allahbadia on the show led to backlash. Samay later addressed the episode in ‘Still Alive’ and confirmed that a second season was in the works.Fans are now waiting for more details on the panel, guest list, and release date.
