The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has carried out a major organisational reshuffle, announcing new state presidents in four key states as part of a wider internal restructuring exercise. The party leadership has appointed new faces in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Tripura, signalling a strategic shift ahead of upcoming elections in several regions. According to the official announcement, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra has been appointed as the new BJP Delhi state president, replacing the previous leadership as the party looks to strengthen its organisational base in the national capital following recent electoral developments. In Haryana, Archana Gupta has been given the responsibility of state BJP president, marking another significant leadership change in the state unit. Meanwhile, Sardaar Kewal Singh Dhillon has been appointed as the new BJP Punjab president. Party sources suggest the move is aimed at consolidating support ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the state. In Tripura, Abhishek Devaray has been named as the new BJP state president, completing the reshuffle across the four states. Party insiders indicate that these changes were long under consideration and are part of a broader organisational strategy to introduce new leadership and strengthen ground-level coordination. The BJP is also expected to announce further changes at the national organisational level in the coming days, including updates to the party’s central leadership team. Political observers view the reshuffle as a calculated move aimed at energising state units and preparing the party for upcoming electoral challenges across multiple regions.
