Amid soaring temperatures across Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued urgent directives to multiple departments to ensure preparedness against the ongoing heatwave conditions. With several districts recording temperatures between 45°C and 47°C, the state government has shifted the administration into high alert mode. According to official instructions, District Magistrates (DMs), the Health Department, and the Electricity Department have been asked to remain fully vigilant and responsive. The Chief Minister has emphasized that uninterrupted supply of water and electricity must be ensured across all regions to avoid public inconvenience during the extreme heat conditions. The Health Department has been directed to strengthen emergency response systems in hospitals, ensure adequate availability of medicines and ORS, and remain prepared for heatstroke-related cases. Meanwhile, electricity officials have been instructed to monitor power supply closely and prevent outages, especially during peak heat hours. Authorities have also been asked to increase public awareness regarding heatwave safety measures and ensure proper arrangements in rural and urban areas alike. Emergency response teams and disaster management units have been advised to stay on standby for rapid deployment if required. The directive comes as North India continues to experience severe heatwave conditions, with Uttar Pradesh among the worst affected regions. Officials are closely monitoring the situation to prevent heat-related casualties and ensure essential services remain stable.
