Sarovar Hotels partners with ANTAR for new wellness programme

Sarovar Hotels has announced the launch of ‘The Shoonyam Retreat’, a wellness campaign developed in collaboration with holistic health guru Dr. Mickey Mehta and ANTAR, a digital wellness ecosystem under his mentorship. Hosted at Marasa Sarovar Premiere, Bodhgaya, the programme combines traditional wisdom and contemporary practices to create a space for self-healing, renewal and inner transformation.

Three retreats are planned over the next four months, each designed as a 3-night immersive experience. The sessions will feature yoga and aqua yoga, guided meditation, healing therapies, dance therapy, satsangs, and star meditation under the Bodhgaya sky. Guests will also have opportunities to engage in group wellness sessions personally led by Dr. Mehta, conversations with Buddhist monks, and Satvik dining experiences.

Marasa Sarovar Premiere, located in Bodhgaya where the Buddha attained enlightenment, provides a spiritual setting for the initiative. The programme aims to align with the property’s philosophy of healing, reflection and self-discovery while offering participants an integrated wellness journey.

Ajay K. Bakaya, Chairman, Sarovar Hotels & Director, Louvre Hotels India, said: “At Sarovar Hotels, we are continuously exploring ways to offer purposeful and soulful travel experiences. ‘The Shoonyam Retreat’ with Dr. Mickey Mehta is more than a wellness retreat—it’s a journey inward, anchored in one of the most spiritual places in the world. We’re proud to pioneer this initiative at Marasa Sarovar Premiere, Bodhgaya.”

Dr. Mickey Mehta added: “Death has no right over life — it is only the culmination of disease, and disease is the outcome of choice. Choose evolution over entropy. Since change is constant, be the choreographer of your own change. The Shoonyam Retreat in Bodhgaya offers a sacred space to rediscover yourself — beyond healing, towards feeling whole, alive, and liberated. With Sarovar’s support, we invite you to walk this path of evolution.”

Participation is limited to 100 guests per session to ensure a personalised experience. Early bird bookings made before 12 September will receive a 10 per cent discount, with an additional 10 per cent discount available on bulk bookings of five rooms or more. The first retreat begins on 9 October 2025.
