Virat Kohli shines with the bat despite missing half-century

Virat Kohli looked in sublime touch during the match as he launched a fierce attack on the Gujarat Titans bowling lineup at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. The RCB stalwart smashed 43 runs off just 25 deliveries before his entertaining innings came to an end courtesy of Jason Holder.Holder bowled a short-of-a-length delivery around off stump and Kohli attempted to pull it away. However, the batter got an inside edge and the ball crashed onto the stumps. Kohli looked visibly disappointed after the dismissal. He stood at the crease for a few moments in disbelief, glanced at his bat and slowly walked back to the pavilion while Holder celebrated wildly after claiming the prized wicket. The cameras immediately turned towards Anushka Sharma in the stands, who appeared stunned and dejected as she covered her mouth with both hands after Kohli’s dismissal.

Virat Kohli creates IPL history

Despite missing out on a half-century, Kohli achieved a major milestone during the innings by crossing the 600-run mark in IPL 2026.With this feat, Kohli became the first batter in IPL history to score 600 or more runs in four consecutive seasons, further cementing his legacy in the tournament.
