Cheran’s mother, Kamala Pandiyan, passes away

According to Filmibeat, she died due to age-related health complications. Her final rites will be held today (May 26) at Palaiyur Patti near Melur in Madurai district, Cheran’s native village. The funeral is expected to be attended by relatives, friends, and several members of the Tamil film industry closely associated with Cheran over the years.

From Madurai roots to an award-winning director in Tamil cinema

Cheran is from Melur in the district of Madurai. He has always been fascinated with the art of acting from his early days. He was part of stage dramas initially but then shifted to Chennai to make a mark in the film world. He worked as an assistant director initially under K. S. Ravikumar in the film titled ‘Puriyaadha Pudhir.’ Some of the films where he earned success and gained experience include ‘Cheran Pandiyan,’ ‘Nattamai,’ and ‘Mahanadhi.’

Condolences pour in for Cheran on account of emotional loss

Cheran previously mentioned that he faced issues related to his film career because of the fewer chances available to him recently. With this emotional setback as well, he is going through quite tough times at present. Regarding this unfortunate news, many well-wishers from the Tamil cinema industry are sending their regards and support to Cheran in large numbers.
