Tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran are continuing to rise as disagreements emerge between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over how to handle Iran. Reports claim the two leaders had a heated phone conversation after Trump decided to delay a planned US strike on Iran and instead give diplomacy another chance. Netanyahu reportedly opposed the move and insisted military action against Iran should continue. Trump later publicly stated that Netanyahu would do “whatever” he wanted, comments seen by many as sarcastic and aimed at mocking the Israeli leader. Trump also hinted that the Iran conflict was more important for Netanyahu politically than for the US. Meanwhile, Iran has refused to back down on its nuclear program. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei reportedly ordered that enriched uranium must remain inside Iran, showing distrust toward the US. Iran also warned that any future war could expand beyond West Asia. At the same time, Pakistan and Qatar are trying to mediate peace talks between Washington and Tehran.
