On ground witness Pushkar on Alia’s viral Cannes 2026 video; ‘Absolutely not ignored’

On-ground witness Pushkar Jog BREAKS silence on Alia Bhatt’s viral Cannes 2026 video, Calls out 'Misleading narrative'

Alia Bhatt’s recent Cannes red carpet appearance became a talking point across social media, with a viral video sparking trolling and several headlines suggesting that the actress was ignored by photographers. However, actor Pushkar Jog, who was present at the festival, has now stepped in to clarify what really happened. Attending Cannes for the first time to represent the Marathi industry, Pushkar Jog witnessed the situation firsthand and believes the narrative has been unfairly twisted.

Pushkar Jog calls Alia Bhatt Cannes trolling video misleading

Speaking about the incident, he shared that the way Alia has been targeted online is misleading and not an accurate reflection of reality. He says, “I witnessed the entire situation firsthand, and Alia was absolutely not ignored, that claim is simply incorrect. Before the red carpet, she had just attended the inauguration of the Indian Pavilion, and everything was running on a tight schedule. When she stepped onto the red carpet, I could clearly see that she wasn’t being overlooked by anyone.

Pushkar Jog CLEARS Alia was not overlooked by anyone

He further added, “People need to understand how these red carpets work. It’s a long walk, and photographers are positioned at specific marked spots where celebrities are expected to pause and pose. There are multiple such points. If she’s posing ahead at one mark, it’s not physically possible for photographers behind to capture her at that exact moment. Once she turned, they clicked her as usual. Alia is not just a star from India; she’s a global face representing the country. Unfortunately, a small moment has been taken out of context and presented negatively on social media, which is unfair.”This isn’t the first time a celebrity has been subjected to such intense scrutiny online. Time and again, actors like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Ananya Panday and Ranveer Singh have found themselves at the receiving end of harsh trolling, often over moments taken out of context. Social media, while powerful, can sometimes amplify half-truths, turning fleeting instances into full-blown controversies. Go to Source
