Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to Italy, where he held key interactions with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome. During the visit, PM Meloni welcomed PM Modi and personally showcased Italy’s historical monuments, culture, and architectural heritage. The leaders also shared candid moments, including a selfie posted by Meloni on social media, highlighting the friendly nature of the engagement. Both leaders discussed strengthening India-Italy relations and cooperation across multiple sectors. Several important Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed during the bilateral talks. PM Modi also attended a dinner interaction where both sides discussed ways to deepen diplomatic and economic ties. Later in the day, PM Modi is scheduled to visit the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) before returning to New Delhi. The visit is being seen as an important step in further enhancing bilateral cooperation between India and Italy.
