She also revealed flying to London for a 4-hour date with Jackky in the early days of their relationship.

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani exchanged vows in February 2024, three years after going public with their romance on social media. The two were introduced through mutual friends and gradually grew closer during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Rakul believes that the deep friendship they built over the years is what truly holds their marriage together.

Talking to News18, the actress said, “It’s very important that you’re best friends with your partner. When you’ve that friendship, everything works out. If there’s friendship, you’ll always be there for that person as you would like to spend time with them. You would want to do everything together. As a result, you’ll never be in a situation where you would want to take some time off.””In our case, my friends are his friends and his friends are my friends. We all go on trips together,” Rakul adds. Their bond goes beyond friendship, as she describes their union as one of equal partnership, where personal identity is never compromised. “Our marriage is of equals and that’s very important. There’s immense respect for our individual identities. We’re each other’s cheerleaders and feel happy to see each other grow,” Rakul states.

So has marriage brought any changes to their daily routine? Well, it has, particularly when it comes to bedtime. “Partner ke liye sleep schedule toh change karna hi padhta hai. There’s no option. Jackky did it for me. He wasn’t really a night person but he used to sleep at around 2:30 am. And I used to sleep at 10 pm. Now, we’ve come to a middle ground and go to bed at eleven o’clock,” she tells us.

Rakul had made their relationship public in October 2021 with a simple yet sweet snapshot of the two walking hand-in-hand in a park. Looking back on their early days of dating, she fondly recalls going the extra mile — quite literally — to spend time with him. “I’ve flied across cities for a date and that too to London. It was for a four-hour date. This was in the initial phase of our dating period,” she says.

On the professional side, Rakul is gearing up for her upcoming project ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’, where she will share the screen with Sara Ali Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
