Breaking: Trump Calls PM Modi a ‘Great Leader’, Reaffirms US-India Ties Despite Differences | ABP NEWS

Despite ongoing trade and tariff tensions between the United States and India, U.S. President Donald Trump has made a significant statement reaffirming his strong personal bond with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Trump called Modi a “great Prime Minister” and said, “I’ll always be friends with Modi.” At the same time, he added, “I just don’t like what he’s doing at this particular moment,” hinting at policy disagreements — possibly linked to trade issues or strategic decisions — without revealing specifics. Interestingly, this comes at a time when both nations are facing strains over tariff-related disagreements and economic policies. Yet, Trump insisted that the India-U.S. relationship is “special” and there’s “nothing to worry about.” After imposing irrelevant tariffs on India, it seems that Donald Trump has come to his senses. It appears that Trump also understands that he cannot afford to damage the India-US relationship like this.
