Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a six-day foreign tour, with his second day focusing on his visit to Netherlands after arriving from the UAE. He received a warm welcome in Amsterdam, where members of the Indian diaspora greeted him enthusiastically and participated in cultural programs. The Prime Minister also interacted with Indian-origin communities and is scheduled to stay in the Netherlands until May 17. During the visit, PM Modi will hold high-level talks with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten covering key areas such as trade, energy, technology, investment, education, healthcare, water management, and global strategic issues. He is also expected to meet King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, along with participating in a roundtable with Dutch CEOs and addressing a community event. The visit aims to strengthen cooperation in defence, security, green hydrogen, semiconductors, and water management. Meanwhile, PM Modi also dismissed reports claiming new taxes or restrictions on foreign travel, calling them completely false and reaffirming the government’s commitment to ease of living and doing business.
