In a major development from Chhattisgarh, security forces achieved a significant success during an anti-Naxal operation in the Kanker district. More than 50 hidden weapons, a huge quantity of ammunition, and several Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered during continuous search operations carried out over the last 15 days. The operation was jointly conducted by the Kanker Police, District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighters, and the Border Security Force (BSF). Security personnel carried out raids at multiple suspected Naxal hideouts located in different forest areas of the district. During the searches, the forces seized explosives and arms that had allegedly been hidden by Naxalite groups for future attacks. Officials described the recovery as a major blow to Naxal activities in the region and said that anti-Naxal operations would continue with full intensity to maintain peace and strengthen security in the affected areas.
