Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he received a grand ceremonial welcome including a Guard of Honour. His aircraft was escorted by UAE fighter jets, highlighting the strong strategic ties between the two countries. The UAE President personally received PM Modi, after which delegation-level talks began. Discussions are focused on strengthening India–UAE relations, especially in the area of energy security, amid ongoing global geopolitical tensions and energy concerns linked to the West Asia situation. Both countries are expected to sign key MoUs in the energy sector during the visit. The UAE is seen as a crucial partner for India in meeting its energy needs, while India is also an important market and partner for the UAE. The visit reflects deepening cooperation between the two nations at a time of global energy uncertainty.
