Tara Sutaria stuns in a Rs 1.32 lakh outfit at Cannes 2026

'She needs more attention than Alia Bhatt': Tara Sutaria stuns in a Rs 1.32 lakh all-black outfit at Cannes 2026

Tara Sutaria is having quite a moment at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. Having already made a memorable debut at the prestigious event, she followed it up with another head-turning look that has set social media abuzz. While Alia Bhatt has been grabbing most of the headlines with her stunning couture appearances, a growing number of netizens feel that Tara deserves just as much, if not more, recognition for her own effortlessly graceful and elegant style at the festival.

Tara Sutaria channels old-Hollywood glamour in an all-black

The actress attended the press interviews for the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women In Cinema initiative at Cannes and turned up in a look that left everyone impressed. She wore an all-black outfit from Rhea Costa’s Winter 2026 collection, keeping things simple yet stylish. The monochrome look had a classic old-Hollywood feel to it and showed that you don’t always need to go over the top to make a lasting impression.

A closer look at Tara Sutaria’s Rs 1.32 lakh outfit

Tara wore a sculpted off-shoulder corset top paired with a fitted midi skirt. The corset top, known as the Dalila Top, was made from stretch taffeta fabric that fit her figure perfectly. The off-the-shoulder style gave the look a soft look, while a zipper detail at the back added a modern touch. She paired it with the Joud Midi Skirt, which had a straight cut, small side pleats, and a back slit. She kept her makeup soft and glowing, and her sleek hairstyle completed the look beautifully. The outfit received a huge response on social media, with many fans calling her one of the best-dressed Indian celebrities at Cannes this year.

Should Tara Sutaria get more recognition for her fashion at Cannes?

Her look even sparked comparisons with Alia Bhatt’s much-talked-about Cannes wardrobe, with many users feeling that she deserved equal attention and recognition. “Can she get more attention that alia Bhatt please??? She slayyyyyyed!,” one user commented, while another wrote, “In a world of fast fashion, thank you for bringing back timeless, old-school glamour to the Riviera.”
