RJ Balaji BREAKS down over Suriya and Trisha’s ‘Karuppu’ delay

'My eyes are filled with tears,’ RJ Balaji BREAKS down over Suriya and Trisha's ‘Karuppu’ delay

Actor-director RJ Balaji turned emotional after ‘Karuppu’ failed to release as planned on Thursday morning. The much-awaited Suriya starrer was supposed to hit theatres with special 9 AM shows across Tamil Nadu and other states. But due to last-minute financial and release-related issues, several morning shows were suddenly cancelled. Fans who came all the way and even bought tickets for the first day of the release were let down. During this period of chaos and disappointment, RJ Balaji posted an emotional video message from his car, in which he personally apologized to his fans and viewers in tears. His emotional reaction quickly went viral on social media and drew sympathy from movie lovers and Suriya fans.

RJ Balaji’s emotional video statement goes viral

In the emotional video, RJ Balaji said he never expected the situation to turn this difficult. Struggling to control his emotions, he apologised to audiences who came to theatres early in the morning expecting to celebrate the film’s release. “Watching films is usually a way for people to escape from their personal problems and stress. But instead, we have now caused more disappointment and pressure for fans,” he said emotionally. He also added, “I sincerely apologise to everyone from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra, and all places who travelled to watch the film.” The actor-director further explained that many people were continuously working behind the scenes to solve the issue and release the film as soon as possible.

RJ Balaji’s allegations spark debate

RJ Balaji also spoke about the struggles the team faced during the making and release of the film. He said he had believed strongly that May 14 would become a memorable day for the movie. “I believed this film would become a big success. Now my eyes are filled with tears because of this pain,” he shared. One line from his speech especially caught the attention of fans online. “I used to say ‘Karuppu varaan, vazhi viduven,’ but many are still blocking the path,” he said emotionally. He also praised Suriya for standing with the team during this difficult moment and said the actor was personally putting in huge efforts to solve the issue quickly.

‘Karuppu’ team hopes for a smooth release soon

‘Karuppu’ features Suriya in the lead role with Trisha Krishnan playing the female lead. RJ Balaji plays an important negative role in the film, while the music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar. The film has been promoted as a mass commercial entertainer with action, emotions, and social themes. Though there was an air of disappointment due to the delay in releasing the movie among his fans, they still extended their support to him through social media platforms. In his emotionally charged video, he concluded by saying that all the efforts would be worthwhile once ‘Karuppu’ is released. Go to Source
