Jon Voight pleads to see Angelina before she quits LA

Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight pleads to see actress one last time before she quits LA amid Cecil B. DeMille estate listing

Rumors of Angelina Jolie’s impending relocation abroad have stirred a wave of emotions in her father, Jon Voight. The thought of distance amplifies his worries about their fragile relationship; he’s yearning for a last opportunity to see her before she jets off.

Angelina Jolie’s possible move away from Los Angeles has reportedly left her father, Jon Voight, emotional and worried about their already strained relationship. The Oscar-winning actor has spoken before about wanting to live abroad once her youngest children turn 18. Now, Voight fears the move could create more distance between them and is reportedly asking Angelina to see him before she leaves the city.

Jon Voight worried about Angelina Jolie leaving LA

According to In Touch, Jon Voight is struggling with reports that Angelina Jolie plans to leave Los Angeles and start over elsewhere. The outlet reported that the 87-year-old actor fears he may not get another chance to see his daughter once she moves.“It is hitting him hard. Now, he is pleading with Angie to at least visit him one last time before she leaves town,” an insider told In Touch. The report added that Jon and Angelina’s bond became more tense in 2024 after he commented on her long divorce battle with Brad Pitt. The former couple filed for divorce in September 2016 after two years of marriage.“Jon and Angelina barely talk or see each other these days. But it’s not for lack of effort on his part. He still checks in with birthday and holiday messages, asking about the children and praying that one day they will be able to put their differences aside and spend quality time together. He misses Angie desperately. Jon gets that Angie’s ready to start over, but her move still feels a little cold-hearted to him,” the insider added.

Angelina Jolie plans life abroad after divorce

Angelina sparked fresh talk about leaving Los Angeles during an August 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She said she lives there only “because I have to be here from a divorce.”Angelina and Brad share six children: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17. The twins turn 18 on July 12 this year.Angelina said, “When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here. I’ll spend a lot of time in Cambodia. I’ll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world.”The actor has also listed her California compound, once owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, for USD 29.85 million.Angelina and Jon were estranged for nearly seven years before reconnecting in 2010 with Brad’s encouragement. In 2017, Angelina told Vanity Fair that Jon had been “very good at understanding they needed their grandfather at this time. He knows kind of the rule—don’t make them play with you.”Their political views differ, but they have worked on their relationship for 15 years. Angelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, divorced Voight over adultery when Angelina was a toddler. Marcheline died in 2017 at age 56 after battling breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Go to Source
