A Bihar connection has also surfaced in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak investigation. The examination was conducted on May 3, but even before the test, Bihar Police had taken action against an alleged cheating and exam-setting racket in Nalanda district. On May 2, police arrested three suspects who were reportedly preparing to help candidates clear the examination through illegal arrangements in exchange for money. During the operation, officials recovered mobile phones, admit cards, and several suspicious documents from the accused. Based on the interrogation of the initial suspects, police later arrested four more individuals linked to the network. So far, a total of seven suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the case. The development has strengthened suspicions of a wider interstate examination mafia operating during the NEET UG examination. Investigative agencies are now examining whether the Bihar module was directly connected to the larger nationwide paper leak network already under CBI investigation.
