The Uttar Pradesh cabinet expansion under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been finalized, with eight ministers set to take oath at 3:30 PM. The reshuffle includes six new ministers and promotions for two existing ministers, with no further changes expected as the list has been cleared by the Governor’s office. Key appointments include Bhupendra Chaudhary and Manoj Pandey as cabinet ministers, while Kailash Rajput, Surendra Diler, Krishna Paswan, and Hansraj Vishwakarma will become ministers of state. Somendra Tomar and Ajit Pal will be elevated with independent charge. The expansion is aimed at strengthening caste and regional balance ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Political observers note that the move reflects BJP’s focus on consolidating support among OBC, Dalit, and other key social groups. Senior leaders and party workers will attend the swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Lucknow.
