Kriti Sanon picks Rekha for her dream biopic

Kriti Sanon picks Rekha for her dream biopic: ‘She’s the ultimate baddie’

Kriti Sanon has revealed that she would love to play veteran actress Rekha in a biopic, calling her the ‘ultimate baddie.’ In an interview, she also opened up about her struggles in the industry, saying she earned every opportunity. She will next be seen in ‘Cocktail 2’.

Kriti Sanon has left no one guessing about her dream role. The actress has openly said she would love to portray veteran star Rekha in a biopic. Recently in an interview, Kriti heaped praise on Rekha, calling her the ‘ultimate baddie’ and expressing genuine admiration for her larger-than-life personality, keen intelligence, and fascinating life story.

Kriti Sanon reveals her dream biopic role

Talking to GQ India, when asked whose biopic she would love to be a part of, Kriti had only one name on her mind. “Rekha. She’s the ultimate baddie. I know I look nothing like her, but I love her. Her heart, her guts, her aura. She’s warm, intelligent, and has lived life on her own terms”, she said.

Kriti Sanon opens up about her struggles

In the same interview, Kriti got candid about the struggles that shaped her journey in the film industry. She spoke about going through long stretches of frustration and longing for more meaningful roles, a feeling that persisted until ‘Mimi’ came along and changed things for her. “There were roles I came very close to that eventually went to star kids, something that was beyond my control. When you don’t come from a film background, there’s a great amount of uncertainty you have to deal with. It has been a process of gradual growth, with me taking risks and making more intentional choices. I have earned every opportunity; nothing has been handed to me. There was a phase where nothing was working, and it felt confusing. However, I am grateful for that period, because it gave me clarity on what I do not want to pursue. Failures teach you far more than success does,” she said.

Kriti Sanon to next be seen in ‘Cocktail 2’

On the work front, Kriti is gearing up for the release of Cocktail 2, where she will be seen sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is slated to hit theatres on June 19. Go to Source
