‘Bengal’s Dream Has Come True’: Amit Shah Celebrates BJP’s Historic Win In West Bengal

Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday described the BJP’s victory in West Bengal as the fulfilment of Bengal’s long-awaited aspirations, saying the state had suffered for decades under Left rule and the Trinamool Congress.

Addressing party workers after the BJP’s win in the Assembly elections, Shah invoked lines associated with Rabindranath Tagore and paid tribute to Syama Prasad Mukherjee.

‘This Mandate Is Bengal’s Dream Coming True’

Calling the BJP’s victory historic, he said, “This mandate is Bengal’s dream coming true.”

He added that the Left parties and the Trinamool Congress had “crippled Bengal”.

“Because Left and TMC had crippled Bengal.”

‘Shyama Prasad’s Party Has Come To Power In Bengal’

Referring to Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Shah said, “Shayam Prasad’s party has come to power in Bengal.”

‘From 2014, This Extraordinary Journey Began’

The Home Minister described the BJP’s rise in Bengal as a long political journey that began in 2014.

Modi Alleges Political Violence In Bengal

Shah said he could not comprehend the scale of violence allegedly witnessed in Bengal politics.

“Main samajh nahi sakta ke Bengal ke logon ne apni jaan iss jeet ke liye gawai hai.”

He further said, “Kahi aise kroor hinsa ka nagn tandav maine nahi dekha.”

Targeting both the Left and the Trinamool Congress, Shah added, “Pehle CPM ne fir TMC.”

‘I Thank The People Of Bengal’

The Home Minister thanked voters and BJP workers across the country for the party’s victory.

“Desh ki karodon janta aur BJP ke karodon karyakartaon ki taraf se Bengal ki janta ko dhanyavad dena chahta hu.”
