In the video, Shakti Kapoor said, “Hello everyone, the news of my death is completely fake. I am healthy and happy. Please ignore it. I am going to complain about it. But this is not good. That’s not good.”The actor spoke directly to viewers and urged them to act with care online. He said false information spreads quickly and creates panic. His message stayed firm as he made it clear that the viral reports had no truth.Kapoor’s response also highlights a growing issue faced by public figures. Fake death posts often move fast on social media before families, teams, or the person concerned can respond. In this case, Kapoor chose to address the rumor himself and shut it down through a video.

Raza Murad’s death hoax case

As reported by India Today, a similar incident took place last year with veteran actor Raza Murad. A social media post falsely claimed that Murad had died. The post also claimed that despite his long film career, no one remembered him. Murad later filed a complaint at the Andheri Police Station. Speaking to ANI at the time, he addressed the false post and its impact. The incident had drawn attention to how damaging such rumors can be for actors and their families.Shakti Kapoor remains one of Hindi cinema’s most recognized actors. He has worked in more than 700 films and is known for both comic and villainous roles. His popular films include ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘ChaalBaaz’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Judwaa’, ‘Satte Pe Satta’ and ‘Bol Radha Bol’.Kapoor was last seen in Mudassar Aziz’s ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’, starring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar. He also appeared in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ with Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. His daughter Shraddha Kapoor continues to be among Bollywood’s popular actors. Kapoor had earlier said she does fewer films than some of her contemporaries because she charges more than them. His latest video clearly confirms that he is well and plans action against the rumor-mongers.
