Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday issued a stern warning to Europe, stating that any deployment of Western troops in Ukraine would make them a “legitimate” target for Moscow’s military.
This comes a day after Ukraine’s allies — coalition of the willing, led by France and the United Kingdom — said that they had vowed to put boots on the ground in Ukraine as a security guarantee in the event of a peace deal with Russia in the future.
