Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is set to visit Kolkata to meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee amid recent political developments. The visit follows a phone conversation between the two leaders and earlier indications of support from Akhilesh during the election period. According to reports, Akhilesh Yadav will depart from Lucknow tomorrow morning, arrive in Kolkata around midday, and spend a few hours in the city before returning the same evening. Prior to his departure, he is also expected to address a press conference in Lucknow. The meeting is being seen as a gesture of moral and political support from the INDIA alliance leader, especially after recent electoral outcomes that have reshaped opposition dynamics.
