Where to watch ‘Coolie’

The official announcement came via Amazon Prime Video’s X handle (formerly Twitter), with a post that read: “Get ready to vibe with the saga of Deva, Simon, and Dahaa #CoolieOnPrime, Sep 11.” Alongside, the platform released a poster highlighting Rajinikanth’s character Deva, which is a scene from the climax portion of the Loki’s directorial. ‘Coolie’ plot

At the heart of the narrative is Deva, a former coolie from Mandya. The film traces his journey as he sets out to protect his late friend’s daughter from menacing adversaries. This mission pulls him back into a violent world he had once left behind.

Not part of LCU

Interestingly, while Lokesh has created his own interconnected universe with films like Kaithi and Vikram, Coolie stands apart. The film exists outside the LCU, though it maintains the director’s signature blend of stylized action and human drama.’Coolie’ brings together some of the biggest names in Indian cinema. The cast features Rajinikanth in the lead alongside Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Rachita Ram, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and Aamir Khan.Meanwhile, Lokesh’s previous outing was the Vijay starrer ‘Leo’ which received mixed reviews for its second half.
