BJP leader Locket Chatterjee said that the party expected a one-sided victory in West Bengal and claimed that the results reflect strong public trust in BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She also stated that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is moving towards decline and will eventually lose relevance in the state. She dismissed TMC’s allegations of irregularities and said the party is likely to continue making complaints after defeat. On opposition unity, she expressed doubts about the future strength of the INDIA alliance in Bengal politics. The BJP is now preparing for a grand swearing-in ceremony, which she described as historic, taking place on the land associated with Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. The campaign strategy also focused on local cultural connection, replacing slogans like “Jai Shri Ram” with “Jai Maa Kali” to better connect with Bengali voters.
