Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of a digital platform, Pratibha Setu’, in the 125th Episode of Mann Ki Baat, for the UPSC aspirants who narrowly missed the final merit list. On the platform, the aspirants can get data on more than 10,000 candidates, which will help them with future opportunities.

“My dear countrymen, you must have heard the name of UPSC. This institution conducts the Civil Services exam, one of the toughest exams in the country. All of us have heard many inspiring stories from the toppers of the Civil Services. These youngsters study under difficult circumstances and through their hard work, get a place in this service, but friends, there is another truth about the UPSC exam,” PM Modi said.

  • Pratibha Setu has been launched for the aspirants who have cleared all stages of competitive UPSC exams—including Prelims, Mains, and Interviews—but didn’t make the final merit list.
  • The digital platform was launched on June 19, 2025, and PM Modi today highlighted it in his Mann Ki Baat address.
  • It covers several exams, including Civil Services, Engineering Services, Forest Services, CAPF, Geo-Scientist, CDS, Medical Services, and IES/ISS.

  • The digital platform stores the data of all the students who have cleared all the stages of various exams of UPSC, but couldn’t make it to the final merit list.

How Does Pratibha Setu Work?

  • Employers, including central ministries, PSUs, autonomous bodies, and private firms, register on the portal (often via Corporate Identification Number verification) to gain access.
  • Once the verification is done, the employers receive login credentials and can browse candidate biodata (qualifications, exam details, contact info) to directly engage and hire.
  • The employers can only access the aspirants who opt in and are visible to recruiters.
