Kriti Sanon to romance Vijay Deverakonda in director Shouryuv’s next

Kriti Sanon to romance Vijay Deverakonda in director Shouryuv’s next mythological revenge drama ‘VDxShouryuv’ - Report

The South Indian film industry is buzzing with the potential of a massive new collaboration. Recent reports have indicated that Bollywood star Kriti Sanon is the top choice to play the female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda in his upcoming pan-India project with director Shouryuv, of ‘Hi Nanna’ fame. Tentatively titled VDxShouryuv, the film was officially announced on April 18, 2026, with a striking poster carrying the tagline: “All this anger was once love.”

Kriti Sanon reportedly in talks for Vijay Deverakonda’s next

According to Deccan Chronicle, Kriti Sanon is being considered to play the heroine in Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming pan-Indian project. Though there has been no official confirmation yet, the pairing has already created strong excitement online. Kriti Sanon started her acting journey in Telugu cinema with ‘1: Nenokkadine’ opposite Mahesh Babu, and later appeared in Dochey alongside Naga Chaitanya. She also played Sita in Adipurush with Prabhas. Despite reaching the top tier of Bollywood, Kriti Sanon has maintained a highly selective approach toward Telugu cinema. This discernment is precisely why rumors of a potential collaboration with Vijay have sparked such intense public interest.

A big international team working on the pan-India film

The upcoming project is touted to be a dark revenge action drama with mythological elements. The makers are reportedly planning the film on a very grand scale with international-level visuals and technical work. Hollywood cinematographer Alejandro Martinez, known for projects like ‘House of the Dragon’ and ‘Fallout,’ is reportedly handling the camera work. Popular VFX expert Eric Durst and production designer Suresh Selvarajan are also said to be part of the project. Music for the film will reportedly be composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab.

Fans are excited to see Vijay Deverakonda and Kriti together

Fans are already excited about the possibility of seeing Vijay Deverakonda and Kriti Sanon together on-screen for the first time. Reports also claim that the makers wanted a heroine who could attract both South Indian and Hindi audiences, making Kriti Sanon a strong choice for the role. There are also rumours that Rashmika Mandanna may have recommended Kriti’s name to the team because of their friendship and collaboration on Homi Adajania’s upcoming sequel, ‘Cocktail 2’. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet. Go to Source
