‘Resort’ controversy: Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra sue Anugraha Nambiar

‘Resort’ controversy: Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra sue Anugraha Nambiar, issue 48-hour ultimatum for public apology

Tamil filmmaker-actor Vijay Kumar Rajendran and his wife Nakshatra Murthy have now taken legal action against Malayalam actress Anugraha S Nambiar over recent allegations connected to the web series ‘Resort.’ The issue became a major talking point on social media after Anugraha accused the team of non-payment and also spoke about verbal abuse. Following the controversy, Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra strongly denied all the claims made against them. Their lawyer has now issued an official public notice demanding an apology from Anugraha and producer A. B. Sharon within 48 hours.

Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra deny all allegations

According to the legal notice released by their lawyer, J. Jerom Joseph, the statements shared by Anugraha and Sharon on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms are false, baseless, and defamatory. The notice mentions that the couple’s reputation and professional image were affected by these accusations. It also clearly states that Vijay Kumar has no financial or contractual responsibility towards Anugraha, rejecting all claims related to unpaid dues. The lawyer further said that the allegations were made irresponsibly and with the intention of damaging Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra’s public image.

48-Hour Deadline Given for public apology

The legal notice demanded that Anugraha and Sharon immediately stop making defamatory statements against the couple. It also asks them to remove all related videos and social media posts from every platform. Most importantly, they have been given 48 hours to issue an unconditional public apology. The notice states that the controversy caused mental aggravation, humiliation in society, and loss in professional endeavors for Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra. A report from Hindustan Times also says that civil and criminal cases have already been filed against Anugraha and Sharon in a Coimbatore court. If they fail to follow the notice, the couple plans to continue with further legal proceedings.

‘Resort’ web series controversy continues to grow

The controversy surrounding the JioHotstar web series ‘Resort’ has become one of the most discussed topics online since last week. Earlier, Anugraha had posted several videos making accusations against Vijay Kumar, Nakshathra, and the series’ producers. However, after the issue grew and legal action was initiated, she later removed the videos from her social media pages. Reports suggested Anugraha also mentioned that she lacked the financial support to continue a legal battle. Even after the videos were deleted, the issue continues to create strong reactions among fans and followers online. Go to Source
