Tata Motors SierraTata Motors Passenger Vehicles on Friday reported domestic passenger vehicle sales of 59,000 units, up 30.5 per cent from 45,199 units in April 2025, the company said.
The company reported a 31.1 per cent year-on-year growth in total passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles, at 59,701 units in April 2026, compared to 45,532 units in the same month last year.
The automaker’s international business (IB) volumes more than doubled during the month, with exports rising 110.5 per cent to 701 units from 333 units a year ago.
Electric vehicle sales, including domestic and international markets, climbed 72.1 per cent to 9,150 units in April 2026, compared to 5,318 units in April 2025.
The reported numbers include sales of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.
A Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles spokesperson said, “The strong growth in April reflects continued customer traction across Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle portfolio, including a sharp rise in EV volumes.”
Tata Motors has been expanding its EV range and strengthening its retail and charging ecosystem as part of its broader electrification strategy, while continuing to grow its presence in the domestic passenger vehicle market.
