Salman Khan is set to begin Raj and DK’s superhero film in October 2026, with pre-production underway. The big-budget project targets a global audience, with casting still in progress. Meanwhile, he is shooting an untitled Vamshi Paidipally film, co-starring Nayanthara, slated for Eid 2027.

Salman Khan is set to venture into the superhero genre with ‘The Family Man’ creators Raj and DK according to reports. In a fresh update on the much-anticipated project, the film is expected to go on floors in October 2026. Described as a high-concept action entertainer, it is being produced by Atul Agnihotri, with discussions ongoing with Mythri Movie Makers to join as the studio partner.

Salman Khan’s film enters pre-production stage

According to Pinkvilla, the makers are currently in the pre-production stage, locking the scale, look, and technical aspects of the film. It’s a big-budget superhero film designed for a global audience. The team is aiming to begin filming by October 2026, once all pre-visualisation and prep work is in place. The reports of Samantha Ruth Prabhu being cast are completely untrue. The makers are still exploring options and will finalize the female lead in the next couple of months.

Salman Khan’s collaboration with Raj and DK builds buzz

With this project, Salman is set to make his step into the superhero genre for the first time, making it one of the most talked-about films in the pipeline. The collaboration with Raj and DK has already sparked immense curiosity and excitement. If everything falls into place, the film is likely to start shooting later next year, setting the stage for a larger-than-life cinematic ride.

Salman Khan shoots for upcoming Eid 2027 release

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is busy shooting for an untitled action entertainer, helmed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film stars Nayanthara in the female lead role. Produced by Shirish and Kuldeep Rathore, it is targeting a grand release during Eid 2027.
