Indian intelligence agencies have achieved a major breakthrough by bringing back Salim Dola, a close aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, to India. Salim Dola, who is accused of running a large drug trafficking network across India and several other countries, was reportedly arrested in Istanbul, Turkey, before being brought back by Indian agencies. He is currently being interrogated and will later be handed over to the Mumbai Police for further investigation. According to reports, Dola played a key role in an international drug syndicate linked to Dawood Ibrahim. His return is being seen as a significant success for India’s security and intelligence network, especially in cracking down on cross-border drug operations. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also reacted to the development on social media, stating that the government follows a “zero tolerance” policy against drug syndicates. He said the campaign to dismantle drug networks under the Modi government will continue and that Indian agencies are strengthening their reach beyond borders. Shah further added that drug lords will no longer find safe havens anywhere, as enforcement agencies remain fully active both inside and outside the country.
