In the clip, Sharma is seen sharply reprimanding election officials over alleged negligence and lack of proper monitoring in sensitive areas linked to TMC candidate Jahangir Khan. He questions officials about field responsibilities, voter security arrangements, and alleged lapses in enforcement. The controversy stems from earlier incidents where Sharma had visited areas linked to Jahangir Khan after reports of voter intimidation. During those visits, he reportedly issued strong warnings to local residents and political workers, asking them to refrain from any wrongdoing and assuring strict action against malpractice. He also questioned relatives of the TMC candidate during field inspection. Sharma’s tough on-ground approach, including visits to party offices and confrontation with officials over alleged laxity, has now become a major political flashpoint.
