Counterattack: Aam Aadmi Party calls BJP claims fake, demands transparency

The passage describes a political controversy between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over allegations regarding Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence. BJP leader Parvesh Verma has released photos claiming that Kejriwal’s new residence is highly luxurious, reviving the “Sheesh Mahal” controversy. He alleges misuse of public money and questions the source of funds used for the property. In response, AAP strongly denies the claims, calling the images fake and demanding transparency from BJP leaders, including Delhi Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, asking them to also open their residences for public scrutiny. AAP leader Atishi has accused BJP of spreading misinformation and challenged them to present genuine evidence. Meanwhile, BJP continues to question the cost, funding, and luxury of Kejriwal’s residence, accusing him of hypocrisy compared to his earlier promises of simplicity and anti-corruption politics. The debate has escalated into a broader political clash involving accusations, counterclaims, and demands for transparency from both sides, keeping the “Sheesh Mahal” controversy at the center of Delhi politics.
