Hulk Hogan recalls suicidal struggle following divorce from Linda Hogan in new docuseries: 'Just went down this rabbit hole'

TRIGGER WARNING: This article contains references to suicide.Last year in July, the famed WWE star and movie star Hulk Hogan passed away. Now, almost a year after his passing, a new docuseries about the late fighter and his life has been released on a popular social media platform. One released segment included a clip of Hogan talking about his split with Linda Hogan.

The famed wrestler’s final interview before his passing was included in ‘Hulk Hogan: Real American,’ where he opened up about candid details of his life. Nearing the end of the 4-part documentary, Hogan talked to the producers and revealed he had not been in a good place, citing that he had thought about ending his life after his separation from his ex-wife, Linda.He revealed during the interview that he had gotten drunk and taken pills. He further added, “I went home and I started drinking and you know started eating pills, and I just went down this rabbit hole for a couple days and the next thing I know, I’m sitting in front of my bathroom with a gun in my mouth and not knowing what I was doing.” Linda and Hogan had separated early in 2009.He also talked about how his marriage started “falling apart” when he pitched the idea of starring in ‘Hogan Knows Best’ to his family. He had hoped filming the show would bring them closer; however, he later observed that it did the opposite.

It was reported that the famed WWE wrestler passed away last year in July. The cause of his untimely demise was a sudden heart attack. He was 71 at the time of his passing.
