Breaking: PM Modi Takes Bullet Train Ride with Japanese PM, Highlights India-Japan Tech Partnership | ABP NEWS

On the second day of his official visit to Japan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a symbolic and strategic journey aboard Japan’s world-renowned Shinkansen bullet train, accompanied by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The two leaders traveled to Sendai, marking a key moment in the strengthening of India-Japan ties. The high-speed train journey showcased Japan’s advanced railway technology, which is set to play a pivotal role in India’s own bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The train, capable of reaching speeds of 320 km/h and equipped with earthquake-resistant technology and high comfort features, is seen as the future of Indian rail travel. PM Modi expressed admiration for the Japanese innovation and emphasized that while Japan brings cutting-edge technology, India brings immense talent—together, they can shape a new era of growth. This visit also marked a step forward in joint development plans for the next-generation E10 Shinkansen in India, with agreements on technology transfer and self-reliant manufacturing. As global geopolitical shifts continue, the India-Japan partnership is emerging as a stabilizing and forward-looking alliance, especially as both countries navigate complex trade dynamics with the West.
