‘I stand by every word’: Kash Patel’s legal action over ‘drinking problem’ report, journalist says she will fight it out

'I stand by every word': Kash Patel's legal action over 'drinking problem' report, journalist says she will fight it out

Law firm representing Kash Patel made their letter to the Atlantic public which they said they sent before the article on Kash Patel’s alleged drinking problem was published.

A major war of words broke out between FBI director Kash Patel’s advisers and Atlantic after Atlantic’s journalist Sarah Fitzpatrick exclusively reported that the FBI director has been suffering from a drinking problem, which is known to the administration. On several occasions, Patel’s security detail had difficulty waking him as he was seemingly intoxicated, Fitzpatrick reported, and then asserted that she stood by every word of what she wrote as she is an award-winning investigative journalist. She said Atlantic has excellent attorneys who would fight the case as she crosschecked the accounts, and even the White House and the Department of Justice, and they did not dispute the reporting. “This is telling,” Fitzpatrick commented on Patel’s advisor Erica Knight’s statement threatening her with a lawsuit. Fitzpatrick said Patel is going after people with a polygraph and so no one will go record.

‘Every DC reporter chased the story, passed on’

After Atlantic’s ‘bombshell’ on Kash Patel’s alleged drinking problem, Erica Knight said this was a tory that every real DC reporter chased and then passed on because they could not verify it. “Journalists have resorted to listening to disgruntled biased claims backed up by their anonymous disgruntled friends to set a narrative. Gossipy fiction might get clicks, but the truth gets results,” Knight wrote.

‘I spent nearly every day with Kash’

Clint Brown pushed back the claims by Atlantic and said he as Kash Patel’s sherpa on the transition and he spent nearly all dayt with him for over three months. “I’ve never once seen him over drink. Not once. You are spinning that narrative because you know POTUS doesn’t view that favorably, even admitted as much in your story,” Brown posted asking the Atlantic why he was not reached out for the reporting.

Binnall Law Group reveals letter sent to Atlantic before article

Binnall Law Group, representing Patel, published the letter they sent to Atlantic before the article came out. “Should you publish these false allegations, Director Patel will take swift action to uphold his reputation,” the letter said pointing out seven claims on Patel’s drinking problem to be removed as they are 100% false. “Memo to the fake news – the only time I’ll ever actually be concerned about the hit piece lies you write about me will be when you stop. Keep talking, it means I’m doing exactly what I should be doing. And no amount of BS you write will ever deter this FBI from making America safe again and taking down the criminals you love,” Patel wrote in a fresh post as the controversy has now taken a centerstage.”If the fake news mafia isn’t hitting you with baseless info, you’re not doing your job,” Patel said on Fox News.
