Speaking to SCREEN, Sooraj praised ‘Dhurandhar’ as an outstanding blockbuster, noting that despite lacking a family focus, he thoroughly enjoyed it. He remarked, “As a filmmaker, whatever’s good is good. I think Dhurandhar is a perfect picture after Sholay. Every character is so well done. Hats off to Aditya.” Additionally, he shared his fondness for ‘Saiyaara’ and voiced delight for Aditya Chopra and Mohit Suri at its launch.

He added, “All subjects should get made but this type of content is very important, so that we can tell the younger generation to trust, hope, and support each other, otherwise we’re all getting divided. Why should there be any loneliness?”

‘Dhurandhar’ star cast and part one

Aditya Dhar’s two-part film ‘Dhurandhar’ stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, alongside R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and others in pivotal roles. The first installment follows Hamza, an Indian spy portrayed by Ranveer, as he infiltrates gangs in Pakistan’s Lyari to dismantle a terror network aimed at India. The movie proved a massive box office hit, grossing over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, the sequel released on March 19, delves into Ranveer’s character transforming into a spy, ascending Pakistan’s political ladder to rule Lyari as its kingpin, and achieving his objective. Critically lauded, it amassed over Rs 1,700 crore globally in just four weeks. Marking a milestone, it became Bollywood’s first film to exceed Rs 1,000 crore domestically, raising the bar.
