Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge have achieved a historic feat at the box office. The Ranveer Singh-starrer franchise has officially crossed the Rs 3000 crore mark worldwide, becoming the first Indian film series to do so.According to Sacnilk, the combined global collection of the two films now stands at over Rs 3019 crore. This makes Dhurandhar the highest-grossing franchise in Indian cinema so far.

Surpassing Baahubali, Pushpa and KGF

With this milestone, the franchise has overtaken some of Indian cinema’s biggest blockbusters. SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, had earlier set the benchmark with a combined Rs 2438 crore collection.Similarly, Sukumar’s Pushpa franchise, led by Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, has a cumulative total of Rs 2221 crore. The film went on to emerge as a massive blockbuster. Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released on March 19 in Hindi and multiple South Indian languages. With several major films like Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, Peddi, The Paradise, and Dacoit postponing their releases, the film enjoyed a clear run at the box office. The sequel has now grossed over Rs 1712 crore globally, contributing significantly to the franchise’s record-breaking total.
