The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its election manifesto, termed a “trust document,” outlining an ambitious roadmap for West Bengal ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. The party has focused on key themes such as women’s welfare, employment generation, law and order, and industrial growth, aiming to position itself as a strong alternative to the ruling dispensation. Among the major promises, BJP has pledged a monthly financial assistance of ₹3000 each for women and unemployed youth. The manifesto also highlights plans to boost infrastructure, including the establishment of an AIIMS in North Bengal, expansion of IT hubs, and strengthening of healthcare services. The party has assured that all vacant government posts will be filled and industrial development will be revived with supportive land and policy reforms. Addressing concerns over safety, BJP has emphasized creating a “fear-free Bengal,” promising strict action against infiltration and improved border security. It also proposed cultural initiatives like the Vande Mataram Museum and legal measures to ensure freedom of religious practices. The leadership expressed confidence that a “double-engine government” would accelerate development and restore governance standards. Responding to questions on law and order and welfare schemes, BJP leaders stated that existing benefits for the poor would continue while leakages would be curbed. With a strong pitch for change, BJP has called on voters to participate fearlessly and support what it describes as a decisive political transformation in the state.
