Mahadangal: Derogatory Slogans Against PM Modi at Darbhanga Rally Stir Political Storm | ABP NEWS

A major controversy has erupted during a Congress rally in Bihar’s Darbhanga, where offensive slogans and abuses were hurled at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The incident took place after senior leaders, including Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, had left the stage. Videos went viral showing Congress workers using highly vulgar language on the mic — words too obscene to be broadcasted. While Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput condemned the incident on national TV, calling for strict legal action against the individuals responsible, BJP leaders questioned the culture and training within the Congress party. They accused the party of enabling a toxic political environment, citing Rahul Gandhi’s past controversial remarks, including the “chowkidar chor hai” slogan for which he had to apologize in the Supreme Court. BJP spokesperson Prem Shukla criticized the Congress for failing to act swiftly, stating that if such language is tolerated from party platforms, it sets a dangerous precedent. Meanwhile, Congress claims it has identified the culprits and will expel them, reiterating that no abuse — against any leader or their family — is acceptable. The issue has sparked a wider debate on political decency and accountability as election tensions rise in Bihar.
