Ameesha reacts to Zakir comment: ‘SRK, Salman, Sunny have given 25 hits’

Ameesha Patel reacts to Zakir Khan's comment on Bollywood getting jealous of Dhurandhar: 'SRK, Salman, Sunny have given 25 hits'

Zakir Khan recently took the stage at an awards function where he spoke about the phenomenal success of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, joking that the film’s achievements have left the industry jealous. His remark, however, did not sit well with Ameesha Patel, who strongly reacted and accused him of promoting unnecessary negativity, asserting that the film has in fact been widely celebrated within the industry.Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ameesha shared a photo of Zakir from the event and wrote, “DUDE, Stop spreading NEGATIVITY! The film industry has valued and respected DHURANDHAR! Superstars like SRK, SALMAN, SUNNY, HRITHIK, AJAY, etc., have given not just one but 25-plus mega hits and will continue to do so 👍 CHILL, GADAR bahut saalon se sabne already machai hai, aur aage bhi machaayenge 👍” During his segment at the event, Zakir had delivered the line in his signature humorous style, “Kitne hi congratulatory posts aap daal dein, kitni hi stories daal dein, kitne hi interview mein aap bol dein ‘my favourite film’, magar sach toh yeh hai ki Dhurandhar se sabki jalti toh hai (No matter how many congratulatory posts you put up, no matter how many stories you share, no matter how often you say in interviews that it’s your favourite film, the truth is, everyone is jealous of Dhurandhar).” His witty take left the audience in splits. He further added another punchline: “Bomb film mein phootein Lyari mein, par dhuan udaa hai Bandra se Juhu mein (Bombs may have gone off in Lyari, but the smoke is rising all the way from Bandra to Juhu).”Meanwhile, ‘Pathaan’ director Siddharth Anand has also reacted to Zakir’s comment. He said, “Juhu – Bandra peeps have given all ATBB’s since the past 50 years. You have to be a real duffer to undermine their contribution.” ‘Dhurandhar 2’ boasts a star-studded lineup featuring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Saumya Tandon, among others. Since its release, the film has been smashing box office records, building on the massive success of its first installment in 2025. Go to Source
