Tesla’s total charging network in India now includes four locations across Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, with a combined mix of fast and destination charging points.Tesla on Monday said it has opened its first in-mall electric vehicle (EV) charging station in India at Nexus Seawoods in Navi Mumbai, marking an expansion of its charging infrastructure in the country.
The facility, located in the mall’s basement parking, includes eight chargers, four high-speed DC superchargers and four AC destination chargers, aimed at supporting Tesla vehicle users in the Mumbai metropolitan region.
According to the official press release, with the addition of this site, Tesla’s total charging network in India now includes four locations across Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, with a combined mix of fast and destination charging points.
The Navi Mumbai station is equipped with high-speed charging technology capable of delivering significant driving range within short durations, depending on the vehicle model and charging conditions.
Alongside the charging facility, the company has also set up a temporary retail presence at the mall, where visitors can view vehicles and access product information.
