'Metro In Dino..' OTT release date: Here's when and where you can watch Anurag Basu's multi-starrer movie

Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated musical drama ‘Metro… In Dino’ released in cinemas on July 4. The film got a mixed response but a section of the audience absolutely loved it and resonated with the film’s music especially. It did decent at the box office. The film is a spiritual successor to Basu’s 2007 cult classic ‘Life in a Metro’. For those who missed the movie in theatres, here are the OTT release details of the movie. Usually, the window between theatrical release of a film and the OTT release has to be between six to eight weeks and so, the film will be streaming by August end.

‘Metro In Dino..’ to release on OTT on THIS date

The film which stars Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Ali Fazal, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta is set to begin streaming on Netflix from August 29 onwards. The streaming platform shared this announcement with the caption, “Agla station: Pyaar, heartbreaks aur thodi si ummeed. Watch Metro… In Dino, out 29 August.”

Box office performance of the film

Metro… In Dino started off on a modest note with an opening of ₹3.5 crore, but the film picked up well over the following days. Its daily collections stayed above the ₹1 crore mark until the third Monday, which saw the arrival of Saiyaara. By the end of its four-week theatrical run, the Anurag Basu directorial had closed at a respectable ₹52.1 crore net in India. The film collected Rs 68.25 crore worldwide.
